Tanisha's growing intimacy with the much older Armaan Kohli, among other things, is being touted as the reason behind their disapproval. Only time will tell if the Devgns' have their way or Tanisha enjoys a longer stay but meanwhile we take a look at other Bigg Boss contestants who have had to leave the reality series mid-way without being evicted or voted out in the normal prescribed format of the show.
Navjot Singh Sidhu (Season 6) Reason for exit: Call of duty Former cricketer, MP and a regular face on the telly, Sidhu had to quit the show after his wife Navjot Kaur, appealed to the channel for his exit. The reason cited was that he had to campaign for his political party for the then upcoming Gujarat elections. Many believe the exit was because he was tarnishing both his and the party's image on national television.
Shamita Shetty (Season 3) Reason for exit: Shilpa Shetty's wedding The younger sibling of Shilpa Shetty, India's most famous international reality star, Shamita tried to follow her sister's footsteps into reality stardom. But she had to cut her journey short owing to family commitments. After a seven week stint, in the Bigg Boss house, she exited the show to participate in sister Shilpa's wedding to Raj Kundra.
Kamal Rashid Khan (Season 3) Reason for exit: Abusive behaviour and physical violence Better known as the motor mouth KRK, Khan was in news throughout his stint in the show for being rude and foul mouthed to the other contestants. While on the show, he verbally abused Rohit Verma and threw a water bottle at him which hit Shamita Shetty. As a result, he was asked to leave the show immediately. KRK later re-entered the house as a wild card entry.
Jade Goody (Season 2) Reason for exit: Diagnosed with cervical cancer Reality television star Jade Goody, whose racial bullying of Shilpa Shetty brought the latter overnight recognition, support and possibly the victory in Celebrity Big Brother 5, came to India to participate in Bigg Boss. She made a heart-breaking exit after being diagnosed with cervical cancer. The 27-year-old breathed her last in February 2009.
Rahul Mahajan (Season 2) Reason for exit: Voluntary exit No stranger to television and reality television in particular, Rahul made quite a few headlines during his stint in the Bigg Boss house as he tried his level best to woo both Payal Rohatgi and Monica Bedi at the same time. Rahul decided to voluntarily exit the show in its last and final week.

Salil Ankola (Season 1) Reason for exit: Court orders Former cricketer and actor, Salil Ankola had to beat a hasty retreat from the reality show as Balaji Telefilms filed a contention saying that his participation in the series was a violation of the contract he had signed with them. The Bigg Boss telecasters took cognizance of the court order and evicted him on grounds of his prior commitments and contractual obligations.
Kushal Tandon In the current season of Bigg Boss, contestant Kushal Tandon was evicted on grounds of unacceptable violent behaviour. Kushal who got violent and tried to push Andy was asked to leave the Bigg Boss house the same day. Three weeks after this fiasco, Kushal, has now re-entered the house.
