According to the exit poll done by ORG for India Today group, Kejriwal, with 36% vote share, was leading in the high-profile constituency. Dikshit, the face of Congress in Delhi, was in second spot with 31%, with BJP's Gupta bringing up the rear with 28% votes.
The ABP News-Nielsen poll, too, said Dikshit may lose to Kejriwal, as AAP was likely to bag all three seats in central Delhi. The findings mirror the perceived groundswell for AAP as well as the debacle staring at Congress. If the results match the findings, New Delhi constituency will be a great upset for the CM.
The ORG survey predicts a clear victory for BJP with 41 seats in the 70-member assembly, ahead of 20 for Congress and six to AAP. The Neilson poll gives a majority to BJP with 37 seats and 33% votes. Congress is likely to get 16 seats with 29% votes and AAP 15 seats with a 28% votes.
The poll said BJP is likely to sweep around 14 seats in 18 seats of north Delhi, with Congress and AAP getting two each. Congress is likely to get three seats in the four-seat zone of Old Delhi. Congress and BJP may tie with six seats each out of 16 seats in east Delhi. BJP may lead with eight seats in the 12-seat zone of south Delhi, with AAP getting two. In the 17-seat zone of west Delhi, BJP may get eight, and Congress and AAP four each.
Among the three leading chief ministerial candidates BJP's Harsh Vardhan came out as the most popular leader in the ORG poll, with 37% voters endorsing him. Dikshit was second with 29% votes, followed by Kejriwal at 25%.
