NEW DELHI: Why is Sachin Tendulkar's elder brother and mentor Ajit watching the Test at the Kotla, when he is not known to travel to watch Tendulkar bat?

Is it because India won't play at home for the next 15 months and this might turn out to be Tendulkar's last Test on home turf?

"You never know," Sunil Gavaskar told a TV channel when asked about the prospect.

"From 2006-07 there has been this talk of Tendulkar's retirement going on. Only he will know this."

Ajit is expected to stay back for the duration of the Test. Tendulkar will turn 40 in a month's time.
